A winner will be chosen every year and a sympolic price from LDS members will be given to the winner.Nomination are now been accepted for 2008 the winner will be announced on next meeting of LDS (Novemebr 2008) the first issue of volium 2 2008 of Libyan Journal of Infectious Diseases (LJID) is available free On-line on the "Libyan National Center for Infectious Diseases Control and Prevention" website (www.nidcc.org.ly). “The Oea Review of Medicine”, an electronic medical publication was launched and the editors inviting libyan physicians to contribute to this novel activity.Link Registration is now OPEN for the International Conference on Residency Education (ICRE) to be held in Ottawa, Canada from September 25-27, 2008.Link We are pleased to announce that the LDS website has dedicated a page for medical and non-medial personnel to express their opinion and views about health related issues.e-mail The 7th "training the trainers course and 4th workshope assessment for exmainers" will be held 29-30 June 2008 (UCL and LBMS- Tripoli-Libya) A MoU signed between LBMS and Royal College of General Practioners -UK, a team will visit LBMS on 25-28/5/2008 to agree on a comperhensive training program for candidates who will be trained as a family doctors A workshpe and awarenss of Resuscitation program will be launched in Tripoli 22-25/5/2008 with support of ministery of health and LBMS The Libyan Board of Medical Specialities and the Royal College of General Practitioners in UK has signed a memorandum of understanding to help in family doctors training and developing the Primary health care in Libya The Libyan Board of Medical Specialities and Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health has signed a memorandum of understanding regarding MRCPCH exams and training for Libyan medical graduate who are seeking speciality training in Paediatrics
