The Libyan Doctors Society (LDS) is a nongovernmental society that provides a link between Libyan clinicians, postgraduate medical students and allied professionals to promote the social, cultural and professional activities among members of the society. 
                 
 
                                                                 Aims and Objectives


1. To act as a communication link for all Libyan doctors and to discuss and exchange views on both professional and social issues.

2. To provide professional links between universities and hospitals abroad and universities and hospitals in Libya, in order to raise the standards of health services and medical education in Libya.

3. To help Libyan doctors, specially those newly qualified, to progress in their postgraduate medical education and higher degree studies through the publication of up-to-date information that may help them prepare for exams and continue their professional development.

4. To provide general information on medical examinations in the UK , Ireland, Canada , and the USA.

5. To provide information on International English language Testing System (IELTS) every where when possible.

6. To provide information on requirements for registration with medical professional regulatoary bodies any where when ever possible 
7. To represent Libyan doctors who registered with LDS, in national and international medical gathering

8. To publish on the LDS's website informative and useful articles on the history of medicine in Libya and the achievements and contributions of Libyan doctors in Libya and abroad.

9. Publish on the LDS website articles, research papers, books, and other material related to the medical profession, by Libyan doctors in Libya or abroad with the approval of the author/s  or publisher..

10. Improve relations with other professional, national, international and charitable societies.

 11.LDS will be the source of information for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students who are preparing to enter high specialties exams.

12. LDS members are willing and would like to help and offer advice regarding management of some difficult cases when asked to do that.

13. LDS is promoting modernizing medical careers for both undergraduate and postgraduate training in Libya and the members of LDS are ready to help and support any programs
